Facility is designed to enhance students' practical skills in editing, graphics and animation

Lahore: The Film and Broadcasting Department of the University of the Punjab has recently inaugurated a cutting-edge graphics and animation laboratory, established with the collaborative support of Turkey.
This state-of-the-art facility is designed to enhance students' practical skills in editing, graphics, and animation. To leverage this new resource, the department has introduced two-week summer courses, which will be held in the new lab.
Dr Lubna Zaheer, the Chairperson of the department, expressed her gratitude towards Turkey for their support in creating this advanced lab equipped with the latest technology.

She emphasized the importance of practical training, acknowledging that the department previously lacked the resources to provide hands-on experience.
"With this new lab, we are now empowered to offer our students the practical training they need," she said. Regarding the new short courses, Dr Zaheer mentioned, "We will engage industry experts to teach and train our students, ensuring they gain valuable insights from professionals in the field."
