As part of relief measures, the Punjab government has announced reduction of 11 per cent in sales taxes on services to 10 categories.

Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakhat told the budget session that the beauty parlours, fashion designers, home chefs, architects, laundries, dry-cleaners, supply of machinery, warehouses, dress designers and rental bulldozers have been given tax relief in the upcoming fiscal year.
The provincial government is already charging 5 per cent ST on services from 25 categories.
The standard ST on services rate is 16 per cent on multiple services in Punjab.
The minister said the government has allocated Rs51 billion as tax relief measures in the new budget. The government has proposed reduction of ST on call centres from 19.5 per cent to 16 per cent.
