ATC indicts Yasmin Rashid, Omar Cheema and seven others in May 9 case
Judge summoned witnesses for next date of hearing and adjourned proceedings until July 18
Lahore: An Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday charged nine people including PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid and Omar Sarfraz Cheema and Ejaz Chaudhary.
In a significant development in the case concerning the burning of Shadman police station on May 9, an Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday indicted nine suspects including PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, and Ejaz Chaudhary.
Judge Khalid Arshad of the Anti-Terrorism Court conducted the hearing at Kot Lakhpat Jail. Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfraz Cheema and Ejaz Chaudhary were among the nine accused present.
The court summoned witnesses for the next hearing and adjourned the proceedings until July 18.
A case against the accused has been registered at the Shadman police station.
Earlier in the day, the same judge indicted PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a case related to setting Shadman police station on fire.
