(AFP): Following an assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump at a rally Saturday, President Joe Biden said in a televised address from the White House on Sunday:
"There is no place in America for this kind of violence, for any violence ever. Period. No exceptions. We can't allow this violence to be normalised." Meanwhile Trump is attending a meeting convened by his Republican Party where he is expected to be officially nominated as the party's presidential candidate.
