Mobile service to be partially suspended in Punjab today
According to the spokesperson, the service will not be halted in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Khushab, Sialkot, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal
Lahore: Mobile phone service will be partially shutdown in Punjab on the ninth and tenth days of Muharram.
The spokesperson of the Punjab Interior Department said that mobile service will not be completely suspended in any city. The service will be partially suspended on Muharram 9 and 10 from 8:00am to 10:00pm in most districts.
According to the spokesperson, the service will not be halted in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Khushab, Sialkot, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal. It will be restored in Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Wahari, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, and Chiniot.
According to the Punjab Home Department, mobile service will be partially suspended in Gujranwala, Narowal, Toba Tek Singh and Bhakkar. The service will also be partially suspended in Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar, and Hafizabad.
Mobile service will be suspended at 28 locations in Rawalpindi, 15 locations in Rahim Yar Khan, 11 locations in Mianwali and Bahawalpur, 10 locations in Leh, seven locations in Muzaffargarh and six locations in Nankana Sahib.
The spokesperson of Punjab Home Department further said that it has been decided to suspend mobile service at certain places to maintain law and order and protect citizens.
