Colombo: Dhammika Nirushna, a former captain of Sri Lanka's Under-19 cricket team, was tragically killed in a shooting at his residence late Tuesday night.
He was 41 years old.
Sri Lankan police reported that Nirushna was at home with his wife and two children when the fatal incident occurred. The attacker allegedly used a 12-bore gun, firing in the presence of his family.
The police swiftly responded to the scene upon receiving reports of the shooting. Nirushna’s body was transported for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
