WhatsApp introduces new favorite feature for users
Following the launch of chat filters in April 2024, the platform has now significantly upgraded this functionality

Berlin: WhatsApp is continuously developing innovative features to keep users engaged and reduce the need to turn to alternative messaging services.
Following the launch of chat filters in April 2024, the platform has now significantly upgraded this functionality.
New favorites filter for effortless communication
The revamped chat filters provide users with three categories: All, Unread, and Groups. Recently, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, added a Favorites filter designed to simplify interactions with close friends and family.
With the Favorites filter, users can effortlessly chat with or call their favorite contacts without the hassle of scrolling through a long contacts list. This feature is particularly advantageous for individuals who receive a high volume of messages daily, making it easier to keep track of important conversations.
Easy access to essential contacts
The Favorites filter enables quick access to messages from key contacts and groups. To make use of this feature, users will need to add specific contacts to their Favorites list.
After months of testing, WhatsApp has officially launched this feature, and it will be accessible to all users in the upcoming weeks.
