The sessions court adjourned the hearing on the bail applications till July 30


Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad Thursday called for arguments in the upcoming hearing on the pre-arrest bail six applications of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and one for his wife Bushra Bibi.
Additional and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka heard the bail pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhary appeared in the court.
The lawyer said that Barrister Salman Safdar is busy with a case in the Lahore High Court (LHC), therefore, the hearing on the bail applications should be adjourned till next week.
The judge remarked that the hearing cannot be held quickly now, it will be adjourned till September after the holidays. Khalid Yusuf requested that it be held next week, Barrister Salman Safdar has to give arguments. Judge Afzal said that there are already many cases in the next week.
Later, the court directed Superintendent Adiala Jail to either appear Imran Khan by video link or physically in the court and asked for arguments on the bail applications.
Along with this, the sessions court adjourned the hearing on the bail applications till July 30.
It is pertinent to note that two cases have been registered against Imran in Tarnol Police Station, one each in Ramna Police Station, Secretariat, Kohsar and Karachi Company Police Station, while a case of Tosha Khana fake receipts has been registered against Bushra Bibi in Kohsar Police Station.
One case of forged receipts and five cases in connection with the May 9 incidents have been registered against the founder PTI.
