Food grain exports recorded an annual increase of 41.51 percent in June which was 543.9 million dollars


Karachi: An increase of 46.77 percent was recorded in the exports of Pakistani food grains during one year.
According to the Institute of Statistics, in the financial year 2023-24, food grain exports were 7.37 billion dollars. In the year 2022-23, the volume of food grain exports was more than $5 billion.
According to the data, food grain exports recorded an annual increase of 41.51 percent in June which was 543.9 million dollars. Last year's food grain exports were 359.2 million dollars in the same month.
The data of the Institute of Statistics shows that rice was the leading food grain export in one year. An 82.94 percent increase in rice exports was recorded during one year. 6.018 million metric tons of rice were exported. In the year 2023-24, the volume of rice exports was 3.93 billion dollars.
According to the Statistics Institute, an increase of 106.19 percent was recorded in rice exports in June. 425,000 metric tons of rice were exported abroad. The volume of rice exports in June was recorded at 303.7 million dollars. In June last year, the volume of rice exports was 14.73 million dollars.
During one year, 0.935 million tons of fruits were exported. In the financial year 2023-24, a 21.31 percent increase was recorded in the exports of fruits. In 2023-24, 1.261 million metric tons of vegetables were also exported which is an increase of 43.20 percent.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, more than 33,000 metric tons of sugar were exported during a year. Pakistan exported 248,000 tons of dry fruits in a year which is an increase of 117.18 percent in the fiscal year 2023-24.
