Court approved the two-day physical remand of Rauf Hassan and other PTI workers


Islamabad: The Islamabad court Tuesday approved the two-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Rauf Hassan and other party workers.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced Rauf Hassan in the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah where PTI's lawyer Latif Khosa appeared in the court.
The FIA prosecutor requested the court for the physical remand of Rauf Hassan and said that the devices of the social media accounts have to be recovered, if they are found, there will be further investigation and the physical remand can be requested for 30 days in the FIA case.
Lawyer Latif Khosa opposed the appeal for Rauf’s physical remand and stated that the office of PTI was sealed and the case is in the High Court. 11 judges of the full court said that PTI was a political party and will remain so.
Khosa further said that Hassan was named in the case on the statement of an accused. The devices and mobiles of arrested PTI workers are with FIA.
During the hearing, FIA requested for physical remand of Rauf Hassan for 10 days while the lawyer requested to discharge him and others from the case.
The court approved the two-day physical remand of Rauf Hassan and other PTI workers.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday Rauf Hassan was arrested by the police from PTI central secretariat in Islamabad.
