Prosecutor General Punjab said that there are total 37 cases


Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) asked the Prosecutor General Punjab Farhad Ali Shah for a detailed report regarding the cases filed against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to be submitted by tomorrow (Thursday).
A two-member bench of the LHC, headed by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, heard the petitions against physical remand in 12 cases of founder PTI.
Prosecutor General Punjab Farhad appeared following the court order, and Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar gave arguments. He said that the judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) gave the biggest illegal remand in the history of Pakistan. The presence of the accused would have been necessary for physical remand, but the founder PTI was not presented.
Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh inquired about the number of cases against former Prime Minister after May 9. Prosecutor General Punjab said that there are total 37 cases out of which 18 are from Lahore.
The court inquired in how many cases PTI founder was arrested and the challans of these cases have been collected. Prosecutor General Punjab replied that all the details will be submitted by tomorrow.
The court adjourned the proceedings till tomorrow by directing the Prosecutor General Punjab to submit all the records related to the cases of Imran Khan.
