Lahore: The flight operations in Lahore were affected for several hours due to rain and strong winds.
Flight operations in Lahore were affected for several hours last night due to rains and bad weather in various parts of Punjab.
According to aviation authorities, the flight operation of Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport could not be kept active during strong winds and rain, especially from 3:00am to 4:00am and flights could land at 4:00am.
Meanwhile, three flights landed at Multan and Peshawar, while other foreign flights are getting unusually delayed.
It is also reported that the flights arriving in Lahore from Abu Dhabi and Bahrain were transferred to Multan Airport. The foreign airline flights from Riyadh landed at Peshawar and reached Lahore when the weather cleared.
Doha flight of Qatar Airways reached Lahore with a delay of seven hours, while the arrival and departure of more than a dozen other foreign flights were also delayed.
