Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against arrested accused


Rawalpindi: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting 11 operations across the country managed to recover 74kg drugs and arrested 10 accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Monday.
He informed that 3kg ice was recovered from a Jeddah-bound passenger at Islamabad Airport.
The second operation recovered 24kg hashish from an accused arrested near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza Attock.
In third operation, 12kg hashish was recovered from an accused rounded up near Jannat Gul Town, Karachi.
It was also informed that 9.6kg hashish was recovered from a drug smuggler arrested in Khanewal in another operation. 6kg opium and 2kg hashish were recovered from the possession of a woman netted at M-1, Islamabad.
4.8kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle intercepted on River Road Karachi and an accused was arrested during the operation.
While, 4.8kg hashish was recovered from two suspects arrested near Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad.
Also, 2.4kg hashish and 450 grams ice were recovered near Link Road, Karachi and 3kg ice was recovered from an accused rounded up near Pushtakhara Chowk, Peshawar.
In 10th operation, 2kg hashish was recovered from the accused near Ayub National Park Rawalpindi and in 11th operation, 800 grams of ice was recovered near University Road Peshawar.
Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations are under process.
