‘Take vaccine or face action’: Police in KP given five day deadline to get Covid-19 jab
Peshawar: The police personnel and officers in Khyber Pkhatunkhawa (KP) have been given a five day deadline to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

According to details, Peshawar’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operation Yasir Afridi has issued a notification in which all police officers and personnel have been directed to get vaccinated against coronavirus by June 22.
All officers and personnel should send coronavirus vaccination report to SP headquarters by June 23, the notification read.
Action will be taken against non-vaccinated personnel by the deadline, notification concluded.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,119 cases of coronavirus were reported while 46 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,874.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 945,184.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the confirmed cases have surged to 136,474 in the province with 4,247 casualties.
