Court removed objection of registrar's office and directed them to fix application for a hearing tomorrow

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday issued a notice to the Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the petition against the alleged fake video of Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari.
Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Alia Neelam heard the objection on Azma’s application.
During the hearing, Chief Justice LHC Alia Neelam remarked that the photos attacked to the application should have been removed, therefore, the application would have been filed today.
The Information Minister's lawyer told the court that the second objection to their application was that they should consult FIA, they have filed a separate petition.
Later, the court removed the objection of the registrar's office and directed them to fix the application for a hearing tomorrow.
It is pertinent to note that Azma Bokhari had approached the LHC against her alleged fake inappropriate video in which the federal government, FIA and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Falak Javed have been made parties.
The petition stated that on July 24 Falak shared a false video against Azma on X which was shared by hundreds of people which damaged the reputation of the minister.
The petitioner requested that the court issue an order to take legal action against PTI activist and others. FIA be directed to submit an investigation report in this regard, the court should include Falak Javed's name in the Exit Control List (ECL).
Earlier, while talking to the media, Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari said: “I have to go round the courts in the morning to seek justice. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has called FIA tomorrow, let's see what they reply”.
She further said that those who created this storm of misbehavior are still doing it today. It is not my job to tell who is doing what, now all the work is done by the institutions and FIA.
