Chairman FBR stated in letter that he wants to leave his post and take early retirement


Islamabad: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Amjad Zubair Towana has decided to take early retirement.
Amjad Zubair has given two weeks’ notice to the government to resign from the post.
Grade 21 Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officer Amjad Zubair was supposed to retire on February 25 next year, but he has sent a written letter to the government.
Chairman FBR stated in the letter that he wants to leave his post and take early retirement.
According to the reports, Amjad Zubair Towana had verbally informed the Minister of State Ahad Cheema in the meeting that he could no longer head the FBR, after which he also informed the Prime Minister's Office in writing.
