PTCL internet system down across country
People are facing difficulties due to disconnection of internet service

Lahore: The Internet system of Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) is down across the country.
According to the details, people are facing difficulties due to the disconnection of the internet service. The work in banks and other government offices has stopped due to the shutdown of the internet services.
It is pertinent to note that on July 26, the testing of the new internet security network system in the country slowed down not only the social media applications but also the internet speed and this was also confirmed by the authorities.
According to the media reports, officials involved in the installation of the new internet security network confirmed that the internet was slowing down due to the 'firewall' test.
Officials said that the 'firewall' system has been installed and is being tested, but it is not clear how long the test will continue and when the country's internet network will be transferred to the new system.
According to the report, the installation of the 'firewall' system in the country was started in January 2024 and after its installation, the trial has now started.
