200 narcotic tablets were recovered from three suspects in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi


Rawalpindi: In a series of five operations, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully recovered 52 kilograms of drugs and apprehended six individuals, according to a spokesperson from ANF Headquarters on Thursday.
The spokesperson detailed the operations, starting with the seizure of 472 grams of heroin from a passenger bound for Jeddah at Karachi Airport. In another operation, 680 grams of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ‘ice,’ was intercepted from a parcel destined for Bahrain at the DHL office in Karachi.
In Faqirabad, Peshawar, authorities uncovered 24 kilograms of hashish and 26.4 kilograms of opium, leading to the arrest of a suspect. At the ‘Sakhi Sher Shah’ Toll Plaza in Multan, a woman was found in possession of one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine and was subsequently arrested.
Additionally, 200 narcotic tablets were recovered from three suspects in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi.
The suspects have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are currently underway.
