Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday chaired the 46th meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI).

According to details, the CCI meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, in which all the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are participating.
Per sources, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Ministers were physically present in the meeting while the Punjab and Balochistan heads attended the meeting through video link.
The issue of water distribution along with other important concerns including the provision of funds to the provinces was also discussed.
Sources claim that after the 18th amendment, the subjects of the provinces were also be taken up in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed in detail the draft of the National Electricity Policy 2021.
It was decided to constitute a Committee to further deliberate upon the proposed policy and present the final draft before the CCI in its next meeting on Monday.
The committee comprises the Finance Minister, Minister for Energy, Law Minister, SAPM for Power and Chief Ministers of the provinces.
