Court sends Raoof Hassan on judicial remand in terrorism case
However, CTD officials had requested Hasan's seven-day physical remand
Islamabad: An Anti-terrorism court (ATC) in the federal capital sent PTI central secretary information Raoof Hasan to jail on judicial remand.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard Hasan's remand case. PTI leader's lawyer Ali Bukhari appeared in the ATC.
During the hearing, CTD officials requested Hasan's seven-day physical remand, which the court rejected and sent the PTI leader to jail on judicial remand.
The court also issued notices for August 6 on Hasan's post-arrest bail application.
Earlier, the Islamabad court had ordered the release of the PTI leader from the case registered under the PECA Act, but his release could not be implemented.
