Citizen Mashkoor Hussain files a petition in the Lahore High Court through Nadeem Sarwar, and made the federal government, the PCB and Waqar Younis as respondents

Lahore: The appointment of Waqar Younis as an advisor to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.
Citizen Mashkoor Hussain filed a petition in the Lahore High Court through Nadeem Sarwar, and made the federal government, the PCB and Waqar Younis as respondents.
The petition alleged that the PCB, under Mohsin Naqvi's leadership, followed an unusual process in acquiring Waqar Younis's services, raising several questions about the board's administrative practices.
The petitioner pointed out that the PCB had previously appointed former South African Test cricketer Gary Kirsten (white ball coach) and former Australian Test cricketer Jason Gillespie (red ball coach) in a similar manner.
The petitioner argued that Waqar Younis's appointment as an advisor is illegal because no advertisement was published in the newspapers for his appointment. Therefore, the Lahore High Court is requested to nullify Younis's appointment as advisor to the PCB Chairman.
It may be mentioned here that on August 5, the PCB Chairman announced the Domestic Champions Cup and revealed that Waqar Younis had been appointed as an advisor.
