Aima Baig appealed women to raise their voices against oppression and abuse
Islamabad: Famous Pakistani singer Aima Baig announced to run 'Me Too' campaign in the country.
After performing Umrah, Aima took to her Instagram story to express her determination to tackle the issues faced by women in Pakistan.
She wrote that after performing Umrah, she has got a lot of courage and has to use it for the betterment of the country and women's empowerment.
The singer stated that for a long time, ‘I have seen many predators who have ruined the lives of girls but due to a few reasons I was silent until now and now I regret being silent’.
She stated that cheating has become a norm so now she is announcing to start the ‘Me Too’ Campaign very soon through which she will raise her voice for women.
Aima Baig appealed women to raise their voices against oppression and abuse through this ‘Me Too’ movement as many girls are facing mental and physical pain due to abuse.
