Javelin Final: Arshad Nadeem sets new Olympic record with 92.97-meter throw
Trinidad and Tobago's Kishore N made his first throw at 86.16 meters
Paris: Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem on Thursday set a new record of 92.97-meter throw in the final javelin throw final event.
Neeraj Chopra of India currently holds second place with a throw of 89.45 meters, while Anderson Peters from Grenada follows closely in third with a distance of 88.54 meters.
Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch has been pushed down to fourth position, hitting 88.50 meters.
The competition hasn't been smooth—Nadeem, Chopra, and Germany’s Julian Weber all fouled on their first attempts, with Chopra also fouling on his third.
Trinidad and Tobago's player made his first throw at 86.16 meters, while Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem was unable to make his first attempt. Germany's Javelin Weber also did not succeed on his first throw.
Finland's Lassi achieved a first throw of 78.81 meters, while India's Neeraj Chopra's first attempt was unsuccessful. Finland’s Oliver Helander recorded a first throw of 80.92 meters.
