Saqib Wazed, son of former Bangladesh former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed, speaks up about return of his mother to homeland

Dhaka: In recent days, as a result of the ongoing anti-government protests in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina's government has fallen, and she fled the country to India.
In this context, various statements have been made by Sheikh Hasina's son, Sajib Wajid, regarding his mother's return to the country.
In a conversation with the Times of India, he claimed that former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return to the country during the elections, but he did not clarify whether she will participate in the elections or not.
The former Prime Minister's son said, "I was never particularly interested in politics, but now, if necessary, I will not hesitate to enter politics."
Sajib further stated that he is confident that the Awami League will not only participate in the election but that they can win as well. "My mother is currently in India, and she will return to the country as soon as the elections are announced."
It is worth noting that Sajib Wajid had previously stated that his mother was very disappointed with the situation in the country and that she would not return to politics.
However, he later reversed his position, saying that the Awami League is the largest and oldest party in Bangladesh, and "we cannot abandon our people like this. As soon as democracy is restored in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina will undoubtedly return to the country."
What happened in Bangladesh recently?
It is important to remember that a few days ago, former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed, under intense pressure due to student protests, resigned and fled the country to India.
After Sheikh Hasina fled the country, the head of the military took control of Bangladesh and announced the formation of an interim government, with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus appointed as its head.
Army Chief General Waqul Zaman, during a press conference, said that the interim government would consist of 15 members, but it is yet to be decided who will be included in the cabinet.
