Islamabad: The European Union on Saturday paid a special tribute to Pakistan's vibrant diversity in the spirit of respect, unity, and inclusion envisioned by the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

On Pakistan's 77th Independence Day, EU Ambassador Dr. Riina Kionka joined Pakistani musicians in Islamabad to perform a rendition inspired by the Qaumi Taranah.

Meanwhile, US Senator Chris Van Hollen extended his warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day.

In a heartfelt video message, the US Senator emphasized the strong and enduring bonds of friendship between the United States and Pakistan over the past many years. He highlighted the positive impact of the Pakistani American community in the U.S., noting their substantial contributions across various fields and their role as bridge builders between the two nations.

Senator Van Hollen also reflected on the generosity and warmth he has experienced from the Pakistani people throughout his life. He expressed his commitment to continuing the efforts to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Concluding his message, Senator Van Hollen wished all Pakistanis a very Happy Independence Day, celebrating the rich history and enduring friendship between the United States and Pakistan.
