Mastung: In a tragic incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Panjgur, Zakir Baloch, was shot and killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in the Khadkocha area of Mastung district on Monday.
According to Levies officials, the assailants targeted the Deputy Commissioner's vehicle, resulting in severe injuries to both Zakir Baloch and Abdul Malik Baloch, Chairman of the District Council Panjgur. The injured were immediately transported to Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Hospital for emergency treatment.
Unfortunately, Commissioner Kalat later confirmed that Zakir Baloch succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Abdul Malik Baloch, who is the brother of Provincial Assembly member Rahmat Saleh Baloch, is currently receiving medical care.
The authorities are investigating the incident, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the attackers.
