One killed, six wounded in Quetta grenade blast
According to hospital officials, the condition of the two injured was critical
Quetta: At least one person was killed and six others suffered multiple wounds after hand grenade(s) exploded with a big bang in Quetta’s congested Liaquat Bazaar, witnesses and police said.
Ambulances, police and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the crime scene soon after receiving a distress call. The injured were transported to the nearby hospital.
The personnel of the Bomb Disposal Squad and police investigators began cordoning off the area and gathering circumstantial evidence from the crime scene.
Preliminary police investigation showed that unidentified assailants arrived in the China market and hurled hand grenade(s) at citizens.
An investigation is continuing to determine the motive for the attack.
The identities of the attackers are yet to be known. According to hospital officials, the condition of the two injured was critical.
