Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with better active noise cancellation

Google’s upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with a new “Tensor A1” chip that powers “twice the Active Noise Cancellation” (ANC), according to leaked specs posted by @MysteryLupin and spotted by 9to5Google. If true, this will be the first time Google expands its in-house Tensor processor from its phones to its earbuds.

The post suggests the Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with up to 30 hours of audio playback with the case (or up to eight hours without), but it’s not clear whether that’s with ANC turned on or off. The original Pixel Buds Pro offer up to 31 hours of listening time with the case and ANC turned off (or up to 11 hours without).

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also rumored to have conversation detection — a feature Google rolled out to the original Pixel Buds Pro last year — along with the ability to “seamlessly connect” to the Pixel Watch, tablet, and phone.

This new leak comes just one day before Google is expected to reveal the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. So far, leaked images have shown a colorful lineup of Pixel Buds Pro 2 with smaller wing tips reminiscent of the first Pixel Buds, as well as an updated charging case that appears to come with a speaker.
