Chehlum Imam Hussain: Mobile service to be partially suspended
Service will be partially suspended in 10 districts from 5:00am to 11:00pm
Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to partially suspend mobile service in 10 districts on the occasion of Chehlam Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
According to the spokesman of Punjab Interior Department, it is recommended to partially suspend mobile service only in the areas where processions and majalis are held in 10 districts from 5:00am to 11:00pm.
Mobile service will be partially suspended in Rawalpindi, Jhang, Leh, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Mianwali.
The service will be restored in all other districts of Punjab including Lahore. It has been decided to suspend mobile phone service at certain places to maintain law and order and protect citizens.
The Punjab Interior Department has written a letter to the federal government on the request of the police.
