Alleged corruption case: Elahi granted exemption from attendance

Lahore: The Accountability Court has accepted the request of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to excuse his appearance in the alleged corruption reference in development projects.
Lahore Accountability Court Judge Zubair Shahzad Kayani held a hearing on the alleged corruption reference in development projects against Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and others.
During the hearing, lawyer Mukhtar Ranjha requested Elahi to be excused from attendance for one day.
The court granted Chaudhry Pervez Elahi's request for exemption from attendance and adjourned the proceedings till August 28.
