As third Covid-19 wave continues, Pakistan reports 1,050 cases and 37 deaths
Islamabad: Pakistan’s registered death toll from coronavirus infections rose towards 22,000, but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 1,050 cases of coronavirus were reported while 37 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 21,977.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 948,268.
As many as 892,319 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,330 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 344,970 in the province with 10,633 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 331,659 in the province, while the death toll has reached 5,327.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 136,973 in the province with 4,262 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 26,585 confirmed cases while 301 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 19,934 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 571. On the other hand, there are 5,803 cases in GB with 108 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 82,344 cases in the capital city while 775 people have lost their lives.
