Driver and five children aged between 5 to 10 years were also injured


Attock: In an tragic incident, two children were killed in firing on a school van in Attock.
According to rescue officials, unidentified assailants opened fire on a school van in Dherikot area of Attock, resulting in the death of two children.
As soon as the incident was reported, the rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured and dead children to Asfandyar Wali Hospital.
Rescue officials said that as a result of the firing on the school van, the driver and five children aged between 5 to 10 years were also injured.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, expressing deep sorrow over the incident, has sought an immediate report from Commissioner Rawalpindi and directed to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.
President Asif Zardari also condemned the school van firing incident and said that targeting innocent children is a very cruel and shameful act. Strict action should be taken against those responsible.
