Capital police release Marwat after brief detention
PTI MNA reached Tarnol to hold public rally
Islamabad: Police released PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat shortly after his arrest from Tarnol in connection with the PTI's public meeting on Thursday.
Police also detained 16 PTI activists who reached Tarnol to attend the public rally despite the imposition of section 144 by the district administration.
Marwat, who has recently been welcomed back to the party folds, were present at the place of the rally when policemen took him into custody and took him to Golra police station. He was released after questioning.

Marwat, in his X video, alleged that the police attacked him with intent to [kill] him. He urged the workers to reach sector E 11. He earlier stated that the public meeting would take place at every cost.
