Alia Hamza moves IHC for protective bail
PTI leader was accused of plotting the May 9 attacks
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alia Hamza approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for protective bail in the cases filed in Faisalabad and Sargodha.Alia Hamza applied through lawyers Khaqan Mir and Ishtiaq A. Khan, they have requested a hearing on the application today (Friday).
Yesterday, Gujranwala's Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) acquitted Alia Hamza from the case on May 9. No one appeared in court on behalf of Alia Hamza and her lawyers.
It is pertinent to note that Alia Hamza was named as an accused in the case filed at the Cantonment police station. The PTI leader was accused of plotting the May 9 attacks.
