Peshawar: Second Mpox case has been reported in a passenger at Peshawar's Bacha Khan airport on Friday, health ministry officials confirmed.
The passenger reached Peshawar from a Gulf country with symptoms of Mpox and was tested for the disease. After confirming the virus, officials shifted the victim to a hospital.
Prime Minister's Coordinator for Health Dr Mukhtar Ahmed Bahrt said the health ministry was ensuring the continuous monitoring of the situation [at all entry and exit points], adding an effective surveillance and screening process had been installed at all airports.
The first case was also reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a couple of days ago.
