Rawalpindi CPO summoned in Adiala jail deputy superintendent’s missing case
Court expresses dissatisfaction with the response provided by the Rawalpindi CPO in the case

Rawalpindi: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench on Tuesday postponed the hearing of a petition regarding the recovery of missing Adiala Jail Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram until August 29.
The court expressed dissatisfaction with the response provided by the Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) and has summoned him for the next hearing.
An Assistant Advocate General presented the CPO's report, which stated that letters had been sent to various agencies and police departments across the provinces to gather information about the missing officer. Efforts to locate him are ongoing.
Despite these efforts, the court found the CPO's response unsatisfactory and ordered him to appear at the next hearing.
During the session, Advocate Imaan Mazari, representing the petitioner, argued that the petition is valid, noting that the FIR was filed only after the petition was submitted. She requested the court to direct the recovery of the missing officer.
The court adjourned the proceedings until August 29.
