Relief of Rs14 per unit has started reaching the electricity consumers from 201 to 500 units


Lahore: Senior Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb released the details of the relief to the public in electricity bills.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that following the orders of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the relief of Rs14 per unit has started reaching the electricity consumers from 201 to 500 units. The consumers of electricity companies in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Islamabad were provided the relief. A total of 3.516877 electricity consumers were relieved.
She stated that the Prime Minister has given relief of 50 billion rupees to electricity consumers with one to 200 units, while the Chief Minister of Punjab has made the impossible thing possible even in difficult economic conditions, and will give more relief to the people.
The provincial minister added that the bread and electricity of Nawaz Sharif era were made expensive by the PTI government and we are making it cheaper. The need for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) again for Pakistan was due to the economic collapse caused by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.
Marriyum Aurangzeb further said that the process of printing and delivery of relief bills is underway by all five companies. The relief was given to 840,000 customers of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) while 653,883 customers of Multan Electric Supply Company (MESCO) got relief.
She also stated that 560,139 customers of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), 731,305 customers of Gujranwala Electric Supply Company (GESCO), and 785,550 customers of Islamabad Electric Supply Corporation (IESCO) got relief.
The senior minister of Punjab said that free solar systems will be given to electricity consumers using zero to 200 units and consumers with 201 to 500 units will get solar systems in easy installments.
