Quetta: Congo virus cases have surged to 26 this year after two more cases have been reported in Balochistan today.
Five patients have lost their lives so far.
According to media reports, 55-year-old Abdul Hameed from Quetta and 60-year-old Khan Muhammad from Loralai were brought to Fatima Jinnah Hospital yesterday on suspicion of Congo virus.
Both the patients tested positive for Congo, after which they were shifted to separate wards designed for the prevention of Congo.
On August 16, a patient suffering from the Congo virus died in Balochistan, while five people have died due to the Congo virus in the province so far this year.
