Seven of a family killed over land dispute
Peshawar: In a tragic incident, seven members of a family including woman and children were killed after some unidentified armed men opened fire at their residence at Chamkani in Peshawar.
As per details, the victims were targeted by armed men when they were sleeping in the courtyard of their house.
The motive behind the killings was said to be a land dispute.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information and shifted the deceased to a nearby hospital for postmortem.
Later the bodies were handed over to the family of the deceased after completion of medico-legal formalities.
Police has started an investigation into the incident and have taken four suspects into custody in connection with the attack.
Raids are being carried out to arrest the attackers, says police. However, the suspects are still at large.
