Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir said in his special message on the occasion of Pakistan Defense Day that September 6 has a prominent position in our national and military history as the Defense Day.

In his message, the COAS stated today that our army, navy and air forces, while fighting alongside the nation, crushed the evil ambitions of an enemy many times bigger than itself.

The great spirit of national unity and solidarity that was seen on the occasion of the September War is a source of pride for our armed forces and the nation, he added.

COAS further said that devoted to this spirit of national unity and solidarity, the Pakistani forces are performing the duty of guarding the borders of the Holy Land.

Army Chief also stated that the unparalleled courage, bravery and professionalism displayed by our armed forces in the battle of September, are not only written in golden letters in the chapters of history, but also a torch for future generations.

In his message, the Army Chief, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, referred to Surah Al-Baqarah verse 154 in the Holy Quran and said that; The Almighty says (And those who are killed in the way of Allah do not call them dead, but they are alive but you are not aware of it). It reflects the ranks and Allah's grace on them.

On this day, we salute the brave officers and men of Pakistan Army who laid down their lives for the defense of the motherland, said Asim Munir.

He also said that our martyrs are a priority for us and we know and will continue to fulfill the responsibility of sanctity and safety of our martyrs and their families.

"The motto of Pakistan Army is faith, piety and Jihad in the way of Allah is not only our distinguishing mark but also our biggest weapon to deal with the ambitions of our enemies," stated Chief.

He further added that Pakistan Army is committed to the defense of the homeland and equipped with professional skills. Every officer and soldier of ours is carrying out the duty of security and safety of Pakistan with the spirit of September in their hearts.

Chief of Army Staff said that the courage and bravery with which the Pakistani forces and the people have faced the scourge of terrorism and are still doing it is unparalleled in the world.

General Syed Asim Munir said that no other country's army could get the success with which our forces have controlled the monster of terrorism. Thanks to this, Pakistan is safe from becoming a victim of instability.

Army Chief added in his message that digital terrorism and 5th generation warfare are emerging as new challenges. Unlike traditional terrorism, digital terrorism is more dangerous and complex.

The collaboration of anti-national elements and foreign organizations has made digital terrorism more complex and dangerous.

The Army Chief clarified that while remaining committed to national unity, we are also fighting the threat of digital terrorism. The world knows that the determination of Pakistani nation and armed forces is invincible.

In his message, the Army Chief reiterated his resolve that no one can weaken our resolve for a peaceful and secure Pakistan. We seek cordial relations with all our neighboring countries.

Despite the desire for peaceful coexistence, the countrymen are always ready and alert to defend their dear ones. The sanctity and defense of the dear motherland is a priority for us and the Pakistani forces are determined and ready to retaliate against any aggression against the Pak land.

In his message, the Army Chief emphasized the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue and said that the United Nations should understand that the peace of the region is subject to the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue.

Despite the Indian aggression and the violation of human rights, the determination and courage of the Kashmiri brothers are admirable.

In his message, the Army Chief clarified that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice in favor of the Palestinians. Israeli aggression in Gaza is a black mark on the global conscience.

He emphasized the importance of unity in his message and said to renew the promise that we will remain united with the commitment to the security, development, and prosperity of our beloved country. They will forget the differences and show ideal unity and harmony.

General Syed Asim Munir added in his message that no power in the world can harm Pakistan as long as we remain united.
