Governor KP accuses CM Gandapur of inciting May 9 like situation
He calls the federal government to act against Gandapur
Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has accused Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of provoking unrest akin to the disturbances of May 9 during a recent rally in Islamabad.
Governor Kundi has called on the federal government to take swift action against those responsible for breaking the law.
He emphasized that individuals who undermine the constitution should be held accountable, particularly those behind the May 9 violence.
Governor Kundi also criticized the KP Chief Minister, labeling his district as a hotbed of terrorism.
He urged the KP CM to seek a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly, citing a deteriorating law-and-order situation in the province.
In his statement, Governor Kundi reaffirmed the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) commitment to democracy and a peaceful political process.
He emphasized that while politicians are held to account, he questioned when judges and military leaders would be subjected to similar scrutiny.
