Possession of Monal and LaMontana restaurants was obtained in light of the SC's decision

Islamabad: Wildlife Management Board Islamabad took possession of Monal and LaMontana restaurants in the light of the Supreme Court's decision.
According to the spokesperson of the Wildlife Management Board, the possession of Monal and LaMontana restaurants was obtained in the light of the Supreme Court's decision, according to which the Wildlife Department and the district administration have sealed Monal and LaMontana.
According to Wildlife spokesperson, the plan of action related to the two restaurants will be decided in consultation with the CDA and the district administration.
It is pertinent to note that the Supreme Court in its last hearing upheld the decision of former Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Athar Minullah.
In the Supreme Court verdict, it was stated that from September 11, the Wildlife Board should take control of Monal, occupy it with the help of CDA and the police, and block the roads leading to the restaurants.
The Supreme Court judgment further said that the restaurant buildings should be demolished without disturbing the wildlife. The experts should be consulted on how to use the restaurant space. At the same time, expert opinion should be taken on whether an artificial lake can be built there for water.
