Tel Aviv: The Israeli army claimed to have martyred Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
The Israeli military claimed to have attacked Hezbollah's main headquarters in Beirut, which was located in a residential building in the southern part of the city.
The Israeli army has claimed that the head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has been martyred in the attack, while the martyrdom of his daughter Zainab Nasrallah has also been claimed.
To target Hassan Nasrullah, the Israeli planes fired 15 missiles at the same time in Beirut yesterday, which destroyed six buildings, killed eight people and injured 91.
According to Israeli media, Hassan Nasrullah used to stay in the 14th floor underground of the bombed-out building.
Who is Hassan Nasrallah?
Hassan Nasrallah, who is popular in both Lebanon and other Arab countries, is considered the central face of Hezbollah, having strengthened Hezbollah politically and militarily.
Under his leadership, Hezbollah has trained fighters from the Palestinian militant group Hamas while openly supporting militias in Iraq and Yemen.
He obtained other weapons including missiles and rockets from Iran to be used against Israel.
Nasrallah was born in a poor neighborhood east of Beirut, his father owned a small shop and Hassan was the eldest of nine children. Shortly after his birth, civil war broke out in Lebanon. It was a devastating war that gripped the small Mediterranean country for 15 years, during which Lebanese citizens fought each other along lines of religion and ethnicity.
