Economic growth rate increased from -0.21 percent to -0.22 percent in the last fiscal year


Islamabad: The federal government has released the revised economic growth rate data for the previous fiscal year 2023-24.
According to the Ministry of Planning, the growth of agriculture and services sectors has increased after the final data of the fourth quarter.
According to the statement, the National Accounts Committee has approved the revised economic data for the last financial year. The economic growth rate was 2.52 percent last fiscal year, while the target was set at 3.5 percent.
According to the data of the Ministry of Planning, the growth of the agricultural sector was recorded at 6.36 percent in the last financial year. Earlier, the growth of the agricultural sector for the last financial year was approved at 6.25 percent, while the target was 3.5 percent.
According to the statement, last fiscal year growth of the industrial sector was -1.15 percent, which was set at 3.4 percent. The growth of the services sector was 2.15 percent in fiscal year 2023-24 and the target was 3.6 percent.
According to the data, the economic growth rate increased from -0.21 percent to -0.22 percent in the last fiscal year of the coalition government.
