Bollywood superstar Govinda injured with bullet
Manager added that after a minor operation at the hospital, the bullet had been removed


Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Govind Arjun Ahuja aka Govinda was shot with his revolver at his residence after which he was admitted to the hospital.
According to a report by Times of India, the incident took place at 5:00am on Tuesday when the 60-year-old actor and Shiv Sena leader was alone in his Juhu home when the incident happened.
“We had a show in Kolkata and a 6:00am flight, I had reached the airport and Govinda was leaving when he was accidentally shot in the leg,” the actor's manager Shashi Sinha said in an initial statement.
According to Shashi Sinha, the revolver fell while keeping it in the cupboard and accidentally fired, it is God's grace that Govinda only got hurt on one leg and his injury was not serious.
The manager added that after a minor operation at the hospital, the bullet had been removed from his leg.
It is pertinent to note that Govinda was extremely popular as a comedy hero in the 90s.
Govinda's popular superhit films include Ankhain (1993), Raja Babu (1994), Quli No1 (1995), Deewana Mastana (1997), Dulhe Raja (1998), Baray Mian Chhote Mian (1998), Anari No 1 (1999) and Jodi No1 (2001).
In the 2000s, he starred in blockbuster films like Bhagam Bhaag (2006), Partner (2007) and Life Partner (2009).
