Mianwali: Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 in Mianwali, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur. All kinds of political gatherings, sit-ins, rallies and demonstrations will be banned.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab Interior Department, Section 144 has been implemented in Mianwali for seven days. From October 1-7, all kinds of political gatherings, demonstrations, sit-ins, meetings and protests will be banned.
In Faisalabad and Bahawalpur, the section 144 has also been implemented for 142 days, stated the notification.
Section 144 has been implemented for the prevention of terrorism, the establishment of law and order, protection of human lives and property. From October 1-7, all kinds of political gatherings, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations, protests and all such activities will be banned in Mianwali.
The district administration has decided to deploy Rangers in the city, under which two companies of Rangers will be deployed in Mianwali from October 1 to 3.
