Punjab to announce month-long summer break for educational institutes
Lahore: Punjab education department has suggested to announce summer vacations in all educational institutions of the province from July 2, as the heatwave intensifies.
As per sources, all private and public educational institutions should be given one month summer break, starting from July 2 to August 2.
If implemented, it will apply to all private, government and semi-government schools.
The provincial government has already changed the timings for all private and public schools from 7:00am to 11:30am due to the ongoing heatwave.
Educational institutions were resumed last month after a long yearly closure because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new order applies to teachers and other school staff as well as students.
