17 persons including Musarat Jamshed Cheema, Rai Mohammad Ali and others were discharged from the case

Lahore: The workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who were arrested in the Lahore riots on October 5, were discharged from the case.
Judicial Magistrate discharged 17 persons from the case including Musarat Jamshed Cheema, Rai Mohammad Ali and others.
The court, in a written order, said that the police had sought physical remand for 10 days for recovery of batons and investigation. No MLC was present with the request for physical remand. The investigating officers have so far failed to get the CCTV footage.
The written order stated that the allegations leveled by the police were not true, and the physical remand request of the police was rejected. All the arrested persons were discharged from the case. If the arrested persons are not wanted in any other case, they should be released immediately.
