Pakistani politicians share message on Palestine Solidarity Day
Shehbaz Sharif added that the hearts of Pakistani government and its people beat with their innocent Palestinian brothers and sisters
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue to provide moral, diplomatic and political support to the Palestinian brothers and sisters who are victims of Israeli oppression.
In his message on the occasion of the day of solidarity with the Palestinians October 7, the Prime Minister stated that Gaza is currently showing a scene of ruins after the worst bombing and the silence of world powers on this is as reprehensible and alarming as the atrocities of Israel.
He added that today, including him, the entire nation is celebrating the day of solidarity with its Palestinian brothers and sisters. It has been a year since the new wave of Israeli atrocities on Palestinians began on October 7. By making a mockery of institutions, Security Council resolutions and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Israel has so far massacred 41,000 innocent Palestinians, including children, the elderly, and women, injured and displaced millions.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that millions of Palestinians, who are suffering from hunger and thirst, are still suffering from unprovoked bombardment from the sky. Israel's state terrorism is now not only affecting Gaza and Palestine but also other countries in the region. History is a witness that whenever the international forces supported such state terrorism instead of stopping it, the whole world had to bear its irreparable losses.
He also stated: “Today, I have a message to the international community that if Israel's persecution and genocide are not stopped, it can destroy the peace of the region and create such a tense situation with the negative results of any of the world, that no country will be able to live without being affected by its negative consequences.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan, following its founder, Quaid-e-Azam, not only does not recognize the Israeli state based on oppression and illegal usurpation but strongly condemns its oppression and tyranny as well as against it. It reiterates its commitment to raise its voice at every global forum.
Shehbaz Sharif added that the hearts of the Pakistani government and its people beat with their innocent Palestinian brothers and sisters. Pakistan will continue to provide moral, diplomatic, and political support to the innocent Palestinians who are victims of Israeli oppression.
He also stated that recently at every international forum, he raised his voice in front of all countries against the ongoing genocide in Gaza and Palestine by Israel. The Pakistani government will continue to support its Palestinian brothers and sisters until the establishment of a separate Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has not only provided aid to its unmarried Palestinian brothers and sisters but is also ensuring the facility of education in Pakistani colleges for such Palestinian medical students whose education was stopped due to the tense situation.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan will not leave its Palestinian brothers and sisters alone in this difficult time. Today, when we are celebrating Palestine Solidarity Day at the national level in Pakistan, I have a message to the whole world to stop the massacre of Palestinians.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz
On the occasion of Palestine Solidarity Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the world's silence on the plight of the oppressed people of Palestine is a tragedy for humanity.
While issuing a message on October 7, Maryam Nawaz stated that the problem of Palestine is not only the problem of Palestinians but the whole world. The people of Palestine are fighting for their basic rights and protection of their land.
She added that Pakistan has always fully supported the position of Palestine and will continue to do so. Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has raised its voice against Israeli aggression and the protection of Palestinian rights at every forum. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has presented the road map of the problem of Palestine and Kashmir and its solution in a lively manner.
Maryam Nawaz further said that the government and the people of Pakistan are standing with Palestine. Unless a fair solution is found according to the aspirations of the Palestinian people, it is not possible to establish peace in the world.
The Chief Minister of Punjab also stated that the world and human rights organisations should come forward to help the oppressed people of Palestine and protect their rights.
Senator Sherry Rehman
Vice President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman said that holding the All Parties Conference in Pakistan on the completion of one year of Israeli attacks is an expression of our continuous support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Senator Sherry Rahman stated in a message on the occasion of Palestine Solidarity Day on October 7 that today the whole of Pakistan will unite and raise its voice against Israeli oppression.
She added that the Israeli aggression and war frenzy that started on October 7 last year has completed one year today. More than 42,000 Palestinians have been martyred in the one-year-long Israeli brutality, including more than 16,000 children.
The former federal minister said that more than 100,000 people have been injured in Israeli attacks, about 2.3 million people, i.e. more than 90 percent of the population, have been forcibly evicted from their homes. Gaza's main infrastructure, housing, economy, agricultural lands, and fishing system have been largely destroyed.
Senator Sherry Rahman added that Israel has restricted aid to Gaza, exacerbating famine and a lack of medical facilities. A year later today, on October 7, 2024, Israel is engaged in direct war not only with Palestine, but also with Lebanon, Iran, Syria, and Yemen. In this one year, Israel has become a serious threat to the Middle East and world peace. It is the responsibility of the world to stop the Israeli war frenzy.
