Punjab launches App to combat menace of smog
CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurates the Mobile App during a ceremony in Lahore
Lahore: The Punjab government has launched a mobile app to deal the menace of smog in the province.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the app on Wednesday during an event in held at CM House Lahore.
Maryam Nawaz stated that protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility. She said that schools often need to be closed due to smog, and the government has taken practical steps to address this issue. She further said that a subject on environmental awareness is being included in the curriculum for children.
She informed that government has finalized the plan to introduce e-taxi and e-cab system in the province.”
I feel happy working for the youth. People often ask about my vision for Punjab, and instead of words, we are focusing on practical actions, she said.
Maryam Nawaz also stated that the government is tightening the noose on those who abuse animals. There is no room for cruelty in any civilized society.
